No Real Deal For Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas is not ready to quit Arsenal and move to Real Madrid, according to the player's agent.

The Spanish midfielder has starred in the Gunners' impressive start to the season and has been a long-term target of the Primera Liga champions.

Real president Ramon Calderon has let his admiration of Fabregas be known and suggested the Gunners star would be keen on a move to the Bernabeu.

In an interview on Spanish television on Boxing Day, Calderon said: "Cesc would look very favourably at the chance to wear the Real Madrid shirt. We will see what happens."

However Fabregas signed an extended eight-year contract at Emirates Stadium 12 months ago and his agent Joseba Diaz insists the 20-year-old is not about to break his agreement.

"Cesc has a message for the fans," Diaz told The Sun. "He's very happy at Arsenal and loves (manager) Arsene Wenger.

"There is no chance he would move. He is absolutely committed to the club.

"All he thinks about is helping them win the Premier League title and the Champions League."
