Manchester City Defender Micah Richards Hails Boss Eriksson

Manchester City defender Micah Richards is filled with praise about his club boss Sven Goran Eriksson and feels that the manager has taken the club to an all new level.

Former England boss Eriksson took over the reins of the club in July and since then City has undergone a vast change in terms of performance and results.

Last season they narrowly escaped relegation by a miserly four points, but this season they are proud to be fourth on the Premiership table after 18 games.

While speaking about his manager to Sky Sports the 19-year old said, "Sven Goran Eriksson's been a revelation. He has been great".

"If you look at the football we played last season - no disrespect to Stuart Pearce - but we used to play long ball.

"But with the players we have now, Elano, Giovanni and [Vedran] Corluka [for example], they always want to play.

"We look like a decent footballing team, which is something we have wanted to be for a long time now.

"It is good that we can go out there and play some football, and show the fans that we are not just a kick-around team."
