Sir Alex Ferguson says the latest reports linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Real Madrid are "nonsense". Manchester United's brilliant Portuguese winger has been constantly linked with the Spanish giants for several months now. And renewed speculation earlier this week claimed he would finally move to the Primera Liga in the summer for a staggering £50million. But on Friday Ferguson wearily played down the latest bout of rumours linking his star man with an Old Trafford exit. He told the club's official website: "I anticipated this. The thing about this story is that it has been claimed that David Gill has been speaking to Real Madrid. That is a complete lie. We have never spoken to them. The story depends on agents and their imaginations. "At best it's mischievous, but I just dismiss it because it's nonsense. But, who wouldn't be interested in Ronaldo? That's why we bought him."
