Inter president Massimo Moratti has played down talk of a move for Manchester City's Elano.
Inter were strongly linked with Elano in the Italian press on Tuesday following his success at City this season.
Elano has been one of the stars of City's fine campaign and his performances are thought to have alerted a number of top clubs across Europe.
Moratti was remaining coy on the speculation regarding a move for Elano, hinting the former Shakhtar Donetsk star could be too expensive.
"I don't know him well and, from an economical point of view, it doesn't seem like a simple deal," Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I'll wait to understand more. We don't need to rush and it is not only him."
