Lehmann Set For Dortmund Switch ?

Borussia Dortmund have called a press conference for Friday, fuelling speculation goalkeeper Jens Lehmann could be returning to Germany.

However, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has said he anticipates Lehmann being involved in the club's FA Cup tie against Burnley on Sunday.

The 38-year-old has seen his place as Arsenal number one taken by Spaniard Manuel Almunia this season, following a couple of high-profile errors and then a spell sidelined by injury.

After making just one first-team appearance since August 19, against Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League earlier this month, it now seems Lehmann's future lies away from Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said last week: "Jens Lehmann at the moment has not made up his mind. Once he has made up his mind that he wants to go, we will see.

"I will be sorry to see him go but I don't want to take him out of the team and stop him from playing in the European Championship."

Dortmund's first-choice keeper Roman Weidenfeller is facing three months out with a shoulder problem, leaving the German club needing a replacement.

Meanwhile, Wenger has told Arsenal TV Online: "Kolo Toure, Eboue and Sagna will all play (against Burnley). A few of the players who featured all over Christmas will be rested and a few will come in. It will be a mixture."

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has a slight hamstring injury but can play if required.

Robin van Persie has been missing recently with a muscular problem but has been earmarked for a possible return against Birmingham next week.

"We do have a little problem with Adebayor on his hamstring but, if really needed, he could play," Wenger added.

"Robin van Persie is still injured and will not be involved. But it is very short for him now. The next deadline could be Birmingham or just after."
