MASSA: WE'RE LOOKING GOOD

Felipe Massa is confident about Ferrari's chances of retaining the world titles, saying the F2008 is already proving to be more reliable than last year's car.

Ferrari launched their 2008 challenger earlier this month and immediately demonstrated the car's pace at the Jerez and Valencia tests.

But while pace is to be expected from Ferrari, its the car's reliability that has impressed Massa the most having watched his titles chances go up in smoke last year due to mechanical problems.

"Last year, and also two years ago, we always had plenty of mechanical problems in the first tests," he told Autosprint magazine.

"Minor things, because both cars were excellent. But you'd get those gremlins and you had to sort them out and change approach

"And then, at the following test, the problem wasn't there anymore but was somewhere else. It was a bit of an uncomfortable situation.

"Touch wood, but this car seems a lot more reliable. We are doing well now, we've done plenty of running with the two cars. And we can still make a step forward because there are many developments in the works."

The F1 teams resume testing at Barcelona this weekend where Ferrari will be aiming for another problem-free run.
